Cleaning Out The Folder Box

I have a couple of these boxes. You’re supposed to put folders in them and keep files in them. This one is filled with random stuff, and after looking for an instruction manual last week I decided this needed to be cleaned out a bit.

I’m not wrong, am I? I hadn’t intended this to be a third junk drawer. Two is more than enough after all. I wasn’t using it at the time so I stuffed a bunch of things in there I’m not sure I need anymore. So this week’s project was to put this in better shape. I ended up finding things in here that I was looking for some time ago, and learned something I didn’t even know, which kind of changes remarks made in the previous Transformer review. Which means I also found some memories, but more “I forgot that” than “I remember this happy moment”. Still, I’ll take it.

Quick Report: The Walls I’ve Hit

Well, I hit a few snags this week. I was hoping to go over my games in the XP laptop as part of that project but for some reason it’s not recognizing my gamepad, so I have to figure that mess out. I stayed up too late on Friday and slept half of Saturday away, which is when I work on my clutter projects, so I didn’t have time for that. It doesn’t help that something is up with my air mattress bed and it keeps losing air but only when I actually use it or something. I need to figure out what’s going on there. While looking for the owner’s manual I did find a good project for next week, so I’ll be delaying the last Transformer review of this box another week. I hate days like this because I don’t feel like I’m progressing in this as much as I’d like, but I only have one day within all my other projects (one of which also didn’t get done this week) so it bothers me. Hopefully I’ll be back on schedule next week.

Transformers Report: Collector’s Club Skyfall

When Hasbro launched the Official Transformers Collectors Club with Fun Publications I decided to join. At the time I had decent income and thought it would be worth the money. It kind of wasn’t. For your fee (I forget what it was at the time) you got a newsletter that featured information you already heard elsewhere online and only have a few pages of a long comic, a free toy that was a remold of another toy, a card with a bio of the character, access to the forum, and not much else. In the future discounts on club items and more free stories would come around but I don’t think it was worth the money.

Since I joined that first year I picked up the first year figure, Skyfall…who came with instructions for Terradive, one of the Energon Combiner figures his mold was made from. I’ll get more into all that when I finally go through the Energon toys, but for Skyfall, he’s part of a Combiner called Nexus Prime, formerly Nexus Maximus until someone found out he shared the name with an…adult toy that didn’t have a robot mode and probably had more female users. That’s all I’m saying about that. The other figures seen above were released in the following years and all were remolds of various Combiner figures from Energon. The two links in this paragraph will give you the important backstory if you so care, as it’s time to look at the toy itself. While not a Universe figure it’s where I put the other multiversal redecos so why not him? I don’t have any other Collector’s Club figures after all so where else would i put him?

No Clutter Report this week

I was hoping to get something done yesterday (when I usually do my clutter projects) before going to a family gathering. Unfortunately I got up too late and by the time I got cleaned up and did my usual day stuff I didn’t have time to do much of anything. I’ll be back next week with a new organizing project, but I do hope to test a few more games on the old computer if I have time with other projects I need to complete. That won’t be my discussion topic for next week though, as that’s not nearly as interesting or as pressing as other projects I need to do for my clutter. It’s amazing how far I’ve gotten since starting this but how little can be done once a week, but I have been trying not to add to the clutter I’m trying to eliminate,
