Quick Report> More Fun With Tablets

Well, one tablet and a laptop. Not a lot to report this week, but the goal is to declutter or find uses for what I own, not to be a master blogger. I just really like writing stuff and giving people something to enjoy.

This week’s project involved the one Android smart device I didn’t finish last week, the tablet. My goal was to set it up as an assistant to my other projects. To that end I put in my prefered word processing software and taking out the stock one, adding YouTube studio and a teleprompter, both of which have a benefit for my video content, and even a free art program called Ibis Paint just for the heck of it. I have one game that easier to play on the tablet, Angry Birds Seasons, but I’m not going to put a lot of entertainment options. I do want some, in case I’m doing something away from the studio, but the focus is working on scripts or formatting them for the teleprompter, which doesn’t replace learning scripts but is still a good option to have. Trying to have a script near me just doesn’t cut it.

I also worked a bit on my dad’s laptop. I have a colonoscopy coming up and I set up a bit of entertainment while he’s waiting to drive me home from the insides scanning place. I was hoping to test my new video drive with the tablet, as there is a plug that came with it to do that, to see if I need to add a video watching program or anything else. I may do that during the week as I continue to reorganize that drive. That’s coming along slowly but pretty well. Finally, did some going through of old videos and emails. That one may never end at this rate.

So that’s all I have to report for this week. How’s your projects coming?

Reorganizing The Clothes Drawer…Again

This week is another easy project and one that will have some extra steps over time, possibly even before this post goes live. The goal for this project was to redo the clothes in my dresser, in the hopes of making things easier to find and not shove everything in. I’ll get into why that part wasn’t quite successful this time but will over the next few weeks.

This will be a short one to go over. I will say I didn’t take any picks of the socks and underwear drawer because I’d rather not show my undies to the internet. It’s really the same thing I did with the rest of the project so what I do here I did there as well, just not alongside the other clothes.

More Small Projects

Last time we discussed a project it was a series of smaller projects rather than one big project, something to try to start me off again after taking so much time off for Christmas and illness, the latter being unplanned. Getting sick numerous times in February and March was a huge problem and basically threw off a lot of my intended plans. It’s tough to take a mental break from projects for both my sites when I’ve lost so much time not being able to do much of anything. I hate getting sick.

This week I had a few more short projects I decided to focus on because they needed to be done so why not use the de-clutter day of my week to do them, what with the distractions this week?

Quick Report: Getting The Webcam Running

Since getting my new computer there are a few things I still haven’t had time to get together because I wanted to get back to working on my websites. One of them was getting the webcam fully going and a streaming/recording software installed and tested. Since I’m going to need it as part of a November tradition on the other site this week seemed to be the right time to do it. So this week was about making sure the webcam worked, getting some things set up with both the streaming software I’ll be experimenting with, OBS Studio, and the camera program that came with Windows 10. Between them I’ll be doing a series of v-logs on the other site and I think we’re good to go, though I still have a lot of features to play with. That means the v-logs will also be used to play around with the software.

Next week I hope to have a better report for you.

A Series Of Minor Site Projects

Over the last week I took a break from my other website as far as extensive reviews and commentaries. However I didn’t abandon the site altogether. My burnout was tied to longer articles that didn’t leave me time to work on other important projects related to that site. Some of the things I’m going to talk about this week may not necessarily be Clutter Report related but there were things I wanted to do here as well. Some of these I achieved and some I did not. The clutter this week was these other projects I needed to get done. While I didn’t get everything I wanted done I did make some progress.

Quick Project: Taking Down The Warehouse

Another week with friends coming over, but more importantly where I had this Block City made “set” was blocking the air conditioner, and yesterday it just got too hot in my attic. So all I had a chance to do is take down the backdrop, which I want to rethink anyway. I’m hoping to do another big project, and I do have a few I need to revisit and some left on that board. You know…

I still need to clean out my emails, organize my computer files, and do something with the larger graphic novels, collected comics, magazines, and whatever else. Hopefully I can tackle one of these next week. Besides, I haven’t had a decent article for this site in a few weeks and you readers deserve something worth being subscribed to and I started this project for a reason. While I’m still in a better state than I was when I started this project there’s still more to go.

Three Quick Projects

So this is what I was going to do this week. The last time I worked on that corner of the closet I had fixed it up pretty well. It’s gotten slightly worse since then even though I don’t toss things back there like I used to. Still, it needed a revisit project…or so I thought. When I actually started I only had to worry about one thing. Not much of a project so I figured why not tackle a few minor projects that still needed a little time to devote to it. So that was this week’s projects.
